Susan Hopp (Professor of foundation studies) exhibits nationally and internationally and was recently published in INPHA 4: International Photography Annual from Manifest Gallery, Cincinnati, Ohio. Hopp has been invited to participate in shows in Colorado, New Mexico and Massachusetts. She was a member of Artnauts Art and Social Practice Collective 2016–17. Hopp’s work is interdisciplinary and uses appropriated images, drawing and collage to investigate the relationship between digital media and the handmade. Her work reflects on an obsession that a distracting alternative (social media) world provides. The final result is a dreamlike, fragmented and simplified image that meshes recognizable environments with unfamiliar landscapes.
