Sauda Mitchell

Savannah, GA
Sauda Mitchell (B.A., visual communication, 2013) utilizes her artistic creations to pay homage to the past – ensuring her work uplifts, educates, and expresses the Black experience. Inspired by literary and art giants such as Virginia Hamilton, Tom Feelings, and Jacob Lawrence, Mitchell's prints serve as visual communicators to the next generation by linking QR scan code technology with traditional print making. Her "Finding Aid" series has been exhibited at The Beach Institute Cultural Center and the SCAD Museum of Art as part of the "Jacob Lawrence: Lines of Influence" group exhibition.
