Sarah Braxton (b. 1998, New York) received her B.F.A in painting at the Savannah College of Art and Design in spring of the year 2020. Braxton’s work is primarily created through the use of oil paints, aiming to depict her subjects through stylistic realism. She paints to capture her extensive studies of biblical themes, such as the importance of immaculacy, mercy, and obedience through love. She works through both imagery and poetry. She has exhibited her work at the Henny Penny Café, as fundraising for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society while studying in the city of Savannah in 2019. She has also participated in a small works exhibition in the local CorkHouse Gallery. Currently, Braxton is working on her first series named A Vital Immaculacy in Augusta, GA. There will be an exhibition showcasing the series for the month of May 2021 at the the 4P Studios Gallery in Martinez, GA.
