Megan Euell

Megan K. Euell (B.F.A., fashion design, 2010) is a classically trained painter from Southampton, New York. After receiving her degree from SCAD, Euell moved to Florence, Italy, to train at the renowned Florence Academy of Art, graduating from the three-year advanced painting program in 2015. She works solely from life and in natural light, with a knowledge and expertise in archival materials.
Euell received The John F. and Anna Lee Stacey Scholarship from The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in 2014, The Stobart Foundation Grant in 2016 and a Conference Scholarship from The Portrait Society of America, among other honors. Her work can be found in the SCAD Permanent Collection, as well as at The Stobart Foundation and in private collections in both the U.S. and Europe.
Euell teaches workshops and classes in the Hamptons, and paints both en plein air and in her private north-lit studio in Southampton that she shares with her fiancé, master shoemaker Francis Waplinger. She is represented by Vanessa Rothe Fine Art in Laguna Beach, California.
