Meg Aubrey

Meg Aubrey (M.F.A., painting, 2009) is an Atlanta, Georgia-based painter whose work examines the iconic suburban experience and its effects on the women who inhabit it. Her portraits depict housewives subject to the disquieting psychological isolation present within these seemingly idyllic planned communities. She was awarded the Hambidge Residency Award from the Fulton County Arts Council in 2009, and was selected as a finalist for the Forward Arts Foundation Emerging Artist Award in 2011.
