Maya Pegues

A senior at Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, GA. Maya is a Painting Major with a Production Design Minor. She has the goal of becoming a creative consultant or creative/art director. Maya is interested in many different forms of art, like film, photography, art direction, and more, that she studies on her own time outside of her classes. She has done work for SCAD student films as a dancer, choreographer, and set decorator. Two films she has worked on as a dancer and set dresser, have gone on to win numerous awards at film festivals. She is also now working on her own film, which she is directing and writing, while also working as a production/costume designer for two senior films. Maya has also worked on a SCADPro, a specialty internship class, with Daltile and the project will be going live in 2022 where she worked as the event and marketing manager. She also has collaborated with others on photography projects, such as modeling for a SCAD graduates piece that was featured on the Tibi website, and has performed at a SCAD dance show her freshman year. Maya will continue to use dance as a part of her work as she continues into the artistic field. Her goal is to work with as many others as she can on collaborative projects and make her own artistic footprint on the world.
