In her current work, Maggie Evans (Professor of foundation studies, M.F.A., painting, 2008) addresses human collective behavior and how it inevitably leads to hierarchical systems, social divisions and manipulative power. Evans has been included in more than 50 group and 15 solo exhibitions. She was the recipient of a Chinese Government Scholarship at the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou, and has lectured and/or exhibited at institutions including Indiana-Purdue University and University of Texas, Dallas. Her work has been featured in New American Paintings and The Washington Post.
