Macarena Vejar
Graduated with honors from SCAD (BFA Illustration, 2003), Macarena went on to work as an illustrator and graphic designer for Children's Books and the Editorial market. As a photographer with formal studies at the Central St. Martin's School of Art & Design, she has exhibited her work in England, Caracas and Santiago, winning honorable mentions at the AVECOFA Photographic Convention & Exhibition, the Chesterfield Photographic Dog Show, and the "Secrets of Chacao" exhibition. As an illustrator and visual artist, she has been awarded multiple honors, and has exhibited in venues around Europe, Latin America and the United States, such as in the "Mysterious East" Teatrio exhibition in Venice , the "Small Works" exhibition in Savannah, the "VII National Arts Competition Exhibition from the Japanese-Chilean Cultural Center, and "The Painted Gift" exhibition at the Hubert Gallery in New York. Macarena currently lives in Santiago, Chile, where she creates her work and sells them worldwide.
