Lisa Kesler (M.F.A., illustration, 2015) has spent more than 10 years living and working in Phoenix, Arizona; Seattle, Washington; and central Illinois. During her career as a painter and printmaker, she has found the different cultures and environments of each place influencing and enriching her work. Decorative arts such as sewing, quilting and embroidery that she Iearned as a child have contributed to the context of her work. Kesler creates energy and rhythm in her paintings by exploring color relationships, texture and patterns.
