Kyla Rys was born in Hunan, China and raised in Keystone, Colorado. Since age twelve, she has photographed mountain slopes, fall foliage, summer flowers, and Icelandic waterfalls. Her work with pet portraits has been published with appearances in National Geographic Kids and The Huffington Post. Kyla uses the action of taking photos to understand her surroundings. She believes life should be shared though simple subjects with deep character. Kyla is currently working towards a BFA in photography at The Savannah College of Art and Design.
