Eliza Hunter

Black Mountain, NC
Eliza Hunter is a third generation textile artist from the barrier islands of Southeast Georgia. She does not consider herself to specialize in any one process or medium, but rather prefers to explore her creative curiosities. Among her processes are quilting, weaving, tufting, sculpting, painting, and more. Her work is a meditation on shape, color, and texture. Eliza has cofounded a shared studio practice with her husband and fellow SCAD alumnus. Together, the two combine their skills of woodworking and fiber arts to create fine art and objects. They currently reside in Black Mountain, North Carolina.
