Catelyn Maness was born and raised in a town just south of Atlanta, Georgia. Growing up in a creative household, she loved to draw, paint, and create things since before she could remember. Her inspiration comes from the Impressionist movement, her family, and her childhood surroundings filled with cow pastures, farms, and southern culture. She creates work that tells her own story in a visual way while seeking to create art that reflects her Creator. Currently, she is in her junior year at the SCAD majoring in Painting with minors in Drawing and Fibers. ​
