Amanda Grae Platner (B.F.A., painting, 2016) is an artist living and working in Atlanta, Georgia. Platner’s work is an investigation into the consequences of chance occurrences on established plans. “Finished” paintings are subjected to uncontrolled processes and influences. They incorporate a layering of intentional, as well as uncontrolled, chance elements. Recently Platner's piece "Bipartisan (Work Week Performance)" was featured on WABE 90.1-FM’s show City Lights with Lois Reitzes, and in Atlanta Magazine.
