Ahmad Jackson (B.F.A., graphic design, 2004) works in several mediums including painting, collage, repurposed objects, experimental photography and experimental typography. From local surroundings to daily conversations, Jackson blends a range of found materials with classical techniques to develop unique works of art.
Gathering inspiration from collage artist Benny Andrews, portrait artist Kehinde Wiley, conceptual artist Nari Ward and fine artist Xu Bing, Jackson began sampling, blending and overlaying to create his own brand. His mediums are carefully chosen to represent the theme explored in his work.
In addition to solo exhibitions, Jackson’s work appears in the group exhibition series "The Artist and the Truck," featuring a collective of professional men and their uncommon and uplifting journey to becoming renowned local artists.
