Rose M. Barron’s (M.F.A., photography, 2013) photography, video and multimedia artwork has been exhibited in several solo exhibitions across the southeastern U.S. as well as internationally at the Espacio Común in Panama City, Panama. She has also shown in many group exhibitions across the nation, including the Athens Institute for Contemporary Art, Georgia; the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia, Atlanta; the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center; the Art on The Beltline, Atlanta; Fe Gallery in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Umbrella Gallery in New York, New York. Her films have been featured at film festivals throughout the U.S. Her artwork is included in several private and public collections, including the Four Seasons in Morocco; the Marriott Courtyard in Nashville, Tennessee; the March of Dimes Corporate Office Collection, the APG Collectors Portfolio, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia, and Straw Hat Press. Barron has been awarded and completed three artist residencies, including one at the Hambidge Center for the Arts and Sciences in Rabun Gap, Georgia. She currently works at the Art Institute of Atlanta as a part-time adjunct professor in the foundations and photography department. In addition to her study at SCAD, Barron earned an M.A. in photo concentration from Georgia State University and a B.F.A. in graphic design from the University of Georgia.
