Randy Akers

Randy Akers (M.F.A., painting, 2000) is a painter and mixed-media artist whose impressionistic, geometric abstracts depict transcendental movement amongst the architectural and natural landscapes they portray. He serves on the advisory council for ArtsGeorgia, and has taught at several institutions, including the Savannah College of Art and Design, Savannah, Georgia; the School of Visual Arts, New York City; and Cazenovia College, Cazenovia, New York. He lives and works in Savannah. He has exhibited at the Los Angeles Institute of Contemporary Art, California; the University of New Mexico's Harwood Museum of Art, Taos; the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Pennsylvania; and the Masur Museum of Art, Monroe, Louisiana, among others.
